4.    Reflect on findings from data and literature review to pose questions for teacher surveys.
5.    Use teacher surveys to see the numbers of teachers who are or are not using GCS and why.
  • Resources and research tools needed for data gathering
1.    I will use the check in sheets for the GCS students
2.    I will use the failure lists from grading periods 1-5
3.    Internet searches for literature review
4.    I will use teacher surveys based on the data I collect from the GCS check-in sheets and failure lists.

  1. We have a similar program at our school and one question you may want to consider, is asking the teachers how the grade the material recieved from the program. Some of our teachers give full credit, some partial, some none - it is strange and would skew the data if you were looking at grades. Good luck - this is one of my favorite topics, because it is so relevant to almost any school!

  2. Kim, I am with Amy... what does GCS stand for? Beside not knowing that, it looks like you have a well thought out time line.

  3. I also would liek to know what GCS stands for. It is definitely difficult to figure out who kind a credit a student should receive. Should it be based on the individual student or just the whole population? Please keep us up to date.
